Southern tastemaker DJ Jay Woods releases his new single “Knock Her”. After having 3 top 200 songs in the United States on iTunes, DJ Jay Woods wanted to capitalize on the momentum of the Knock Her Challenge by releasing this song. The song features Memphis Legend Project Pat which gives it a tone of Memphis old school underground. DJ Jay Woods wanted this release to be innovative, so he decided to drop the song as an open verse challenge to give independent artists the opportunity to also get on the song. The first challenge winner is Memphis artist Nesha Deshaun, who is signed to Sony/ ATV via Jermaine Dupri. She adds a great upbeat personality while also getting her bars super strong. The song also features Memphis artist Khalil King, who is also taking over Memphis music scene by storms. King adds a Pooh Shiesty mixed with Young Thug’s feel to the record. DJ Jay Woods picked an instrumental from another Memphis born DJ Brandon Bell.
