I wrote this song, years ago, about a woman I was starting to fall for. We were friends, and it felt like there was a mutual attraction there, and I really wanted to be more than just her friend. I wanted to get closer. She was in an abusive relationship and decided to stay there. So it never went anywhere. I doubt she even knows this song was about her.
